Thoughts and concepts, emotions and experiences fuel my creative process and emerge as forms and enigmatic imagery. This work calls for an unfettered imagination, allowing for multiple interpretations. Works may be abstract, symbolic, or representational. They grapple with the intimate and personal, as well as universal themes. I am pulled to the complexity of the human endeavor — to live fully. This work is my process of wrestling with fear, and engaging the full realm of feelings that blend the passionate and pleasurable, the angst and anguish, the uncertainty and the unsettled. Through these images I see, and I seek the constancy of hope; bound as all mortal beings are, by our desire to know, to reach beyond our conscious minds to understand. In the making of these works, these questions become action, a gesture, reaching toward the poignancy of growth.
