CONTEMPLATIONS

Contemplations is filled with forms and enigmatic imagery; it calls for an unfettered imagination. I am pulled to the complexity of the human endeavor—to live fully. My art work grapples with the intimate and personal that remains universal to all of us.—communal experiences beyond language. This work is my process of wrestling the full spectrum of feelings which blend the passionate and pleasurable—the angst and anguish, the uncertainty and the unsettled. Through these images I see, and I seek the constancy of hope; bound as all mortal beings are, by our desire to know, to reach beyond our conscious minds—to understand. In the making of these works, these questions become action, a gesture, and a reaching toward the poignancy of growth.
